4. Canopy Walk – Assassin South, Ghana
One unique feature sets Ghana’s Kakum National Park apart from other national parks: a rainforest, a lush tropical jungle home to many species of flora and fauna. At Kakum, you can walk on a rope bridge through the forest canopy, or hike or canoe on the forest floor. Made to look like a natural feature of the forest, the bridge was designed to attract ecotourism and raise awareness of the park. It is suspended 130 feet above the forest floor and is supported by both trees and a safety net.
